I have many questions and don't know where to start :(. I love making perler art but I have pretty big hands and it's hard to get each perler where I want. I sometimes use my girlfriend's tweezers for careful placement, did you have any tips for it?
YES YES YES. I have relatively tiny hands and still have problems getting the beads to stay put. I have a method and it’s much cheaper than buying tweezers or the perler brand tweezers with the scoop on the end. The key is a paper clip. It is the simplest thing ever but don’t use the tiny paper clips. Use a standard size one. Bend it open and straight with the smaller inside part still curved. The curved part helps keep the beads from flying off the end. If that doesn’t make sense, check out the picture below.
I can fit roughly 12 beads on here so it makes going in a line easier. It also helps if you bump the pegboard by easily pushing all of the beads back on. Hope this helps!
So I looked around and found these 4 that I seemed to favor and seemed easier to follow. It ranges from simple to advanced. I have not made any of these and tried to give credit to who did make it (but because it’s on the internet, it’s kind of difficult). Anyway, I hope these help you out animalcrossingawesomeness
Could you make or reblog your sailor moon pattern? I saw the picture of your corner and saw them at the top.
Yup. Sure. I’ll rummage around and put together a post and tag you in it!
I've made lots of perler bead creations, but it's always the biggest ones that give me trouble. Like the last one I made started to curve off the boards on the top portion of the creation. And I had to spend like 45 minutes putting all the beads back in place after taking the thing off the peg boards since I couldn't push it back down into place. How do you iron out your big ones without worrying about it curving off the boards?
It usually curves if you over melt it. Trust me, I have the same problem because I like my projects flat. There really isn’t an easy way to fix it other than try to push it down with whatever hand you aren’t using to iron it. (and also use oven mitt so you don’t burn your hand). I know its hard but it’s one of those things that can’t be avoided unless you don’t iron it quite so much.
I hope this helped somehow. (:
Where can I go to find cool perler patterns?
Well, you can always google image things and use it that way. You can make your own by shrinking the desired picture to however many pegs you want it. You can also check out this website:
They’ve been getting super popular lately and there are a ton of patterns on there.
I'm super new to perler beads so I've only finished two projects. I would like some advice about ironing them. One of my projects didn't melt enough and the other got way too melted. Could you suggest iron settings and iron time. Thanks!
Its really a trial and error thing. There’s a lot that plays into ironing because each iron reaches different temperatures and the sizes of the pieces also play into it. I don’t really know what to tell you other than if you don’t want it too melted, try counting to 30 seconds with your iron on high, not applying a ton of pressure. I like my beads really flat. I hope this helped in some way. If it didn’t, I’m sorry /:
Do you have any tips for ironing a project that is 15 large square pegboards?
Oh dang. I’d honestly do it peg board by peg board, or 4 at a time, enough so that you get a square that is still manageable. Iron it just enough so that when you pull it up, the beads don’t fly everywhere. Then piece it together. I suggest doing this because you’ll either burn your fingers doing it all together or screw something up and end up in tears. Been there done that.
I really want to make a big perler creation but I don't know how b cuz normally I would print off a pattern and copy it but i don't know what to do with big ones. Plz help
Could you be a bit more specific with what you’re trying to do? Are you trying to make a perler pattern out of a large image, or are you just intimidated by doing a large project?

wats best perler beads program that i can use? kinda just starting out and either way i wanna ,ake the chibi versions of an anime called log horizon they have the images in mid episodes if u can show me how that would be grand :3
First, you need to downsize the image so that its not huge and practically impossible. You can do this using photoshop, gimp, etc. Second, you can upload the image to this address:
I’ve used it on occasion and it’s one of the better ones I could find. You’re welcome to search for others. There’s a lot out there.
Hope this helps!
For whoever sent this to my personal blog and may not see it on there.
Im trying to make the "heart pirates" jolly roger from one piece and I cant make the circle on a square board. Can you post a ~20x20 circle?
I recommend creating a 20x20px circle in paint/photoshop/gimp, and just copying how it renders them.

This took about two days of on an off work… a couple hours and I’m estimating when I say around 3,600 beads? Maybe? Anyways, we need more Conker love!
